Net Promoter Score explained

NPS is calculated as the percentage of promoters (scores of 9 or 10) minus the percentage of detractors (0 to 6). Many onboarding and analytics tools run NPS surveys inside the product.

NPS is most useful when paired with a follow-up question asking why, and when results are segmented by user type.

Example: With 50% promoters and 20% detractors, NPS is 30.
