What is Hotspot?

A small visual marker, often a pulsing dot, that draws attention to a feature and reveals a message when clicked.

Hotspots are a lightweight way to highlight new or underused features without blocking the user. Clicking the marker opens a short explanation.

Because they are optional, hotspots work well for feature discovery, while walkthroughs are better for tasks a user must complete.
