Software adoption rate explained

Adoption rate is the simplest test of whether a software investment is paying off. If a company pays for 1,000 licences and 550 people use the tool in a month, the monthly adoption rate is 55%.

Adoption rate tells you whether people log in, not whether they use the software well. Pair it with process completion and data quality metrics to get the full picture.

Example: 800 active users out of 1,000 licences gives an adoption rate of 80%.
